The municipality of Luki is situated in the highly crossed part of the West Rhodope called the Prespanski. It borders to the municipalities of Assenovgrad, Chepelare, Smolyan and Banite. It is very near to the world famous Bachkovski monastery and Pamporovo resort. The Krustova gora – Sb.Troitsa monastery complex and the Kormisosh State game breeding station /SGS/ with excellent conditions for hunting tourism are located on its territory.
        The region is situated in the picturesque gorge of the rivers – the Manastirska, the Dryanovska, the Yugovska, the Lukinska. Eight villages – Borovo, Belitsa, Dzhourkovo, Dryanovo, Zdravets, Lukavitsa, Manastir and Yugovo, are situated on the territory of the municipality with the town of Luki as an administrative centre.

 

The town of Laki is situated  in the central Rhodoppes at a distance of 30 km from the Rozhen region and the Pamporovo resort. It can be reached on land from the city of Plovdiv and the town of Asenovgrad  with the regular daily transportation
The town is surrounded by fir and leaf forests creating a lovely atmosphere and crystal clear healthy air. Three rivers meander through them and enter Laki ,adding to its scenery and attraction.

The town itself is located at about 700 metres above the sea level, thus enjoying moderate continental climate with mild winter and cool summer. Its nature and lovely surroundings coupled with the pleasant climate have their favourable effect on people with accompanying illnesses like: hypertonia, problems of the heart and the respiratory systems, diabetes.
